Position Summary
Responsible for the effective administration of PeopleSoft, while evaluating, analyzing, and defining user requirements for the PeopleSoft financial system. The business systems are segmented by line of business (LOB): Materials Management, Grant & Fund Accounting, and Finance. Key duties include (1) translating business requirements into design specifications for development, (2) identifying discrepancies and issues while proposing resolutions, (3) creating queries and reports, (4) executing testing protocols, and (5) aiding in the development of training materials.
Core Responsibilities
• Formulate detailed descriptions (requirements) of user needs, program functionalities, and procedures essential for the creation or modification of PeopleSoft applications.
• Evaluate and resolve issues related to PeopleSoft applications.
• Partner with Systems Analysts to design and implement testing strategies; this includes processes, panels, and reports.
• Assess new PeopleSoft modules and third-party software solutions.
• Work collaboratively with fellow PeopleSoft business analysts in Materials Management, Finance, and Grant & Fund Accounting.
• Oversee initial user acceptance testing of LOB modules and manage the final user acceptance process.
Education
A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years' experience in overseeing Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP):
- In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft 8.4.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, focusing on requirements gathering, testing, and deployment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for business correspondence and presentations.
