Position Highlights:

Starting Salary:
from $23.00/hour

SIGN ON BONUS:
$5,000 ($2,000 upon hire; $1,500 at 6 months; $1,500 at 12 months)

Role Overview:


The primary duties of the Licensed Practical Nurse in Child Crisis involve delivering both direct and indirect services under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to individuals requiring crisis evaluations, injection clinic services, or outpatient care.


Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments for crisis assessments and manage individuals presenting with urgent medical or psychiatric issues.
- Conduct clinical intakes for individuals seeking services, coordinating with screening and referral processes to ensure seamless care.


- Complete necessary documentation to maintain compliance with state and accreditation standards, collaborating with STR, psychiatrists/nurse practitioners, and crisis service personnel.


- Organize appointments for the Injection Clinic and administer psychotropic medication injections while providing education and support regarding medication use.


- Maintain accurate electronic medical records, including verifying Medicaid, IPRS, and Medicare eligibility for individuals receiving services.


- Engage with drug company representatives regarding medication samples or coupons.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals, including service seekers, staff, providers, and the public.
- Attend and actively participate in required meetings and training sessions, ensuring compliance with all agency, state, and federal training mandates.
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency protocols and assist in crisis situations.
- Perform additional relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Travel may be necessary for this position.

Qualifications:

Education:
Associate's Degree in Nursing, High School Diploma (Required)

Certifications:
Valid Driver's License - USA, LPN - NC Board of Nursing

Experience:
Background in Psychiatric Nursing

Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday (11:00pm-7:00am)

Target Weekly Hours:
40
