Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ultrasound technology and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic sonography procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, and vascular exams.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Position patients correctly and ensure proper patient care throughout the exam.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technology and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Sonography Program.
  • Registered Medical Sonographer (RMS) certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in diagnostic sonography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BLS certification.
  • ARRT Sonography certification.
  • Experience with ultrasound equipment and software.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
