KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including bathtubs, toilets, sinks, and mirrors, utilizing appropriate cleaning tools and agents.
- Change bed linens and make beds, which may involve lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Dust and polish all surfaces, including furniture, artwork, and fixtures.
- Vacuum carpets and floors, ensuring all trash is disposed of properly.
- Restock guest room supplies, linens, and amenities as needed.
- Manage room keys and ensure proper access to assigned areas.
- Conduct visual inspections of rooms to confirm cleanliness and readiness for guests.
Alongside the essential duties, this position may involve various supportive tasks, as determined by management, including:
- Promptly responding to guest requests for additional items or information.
- Reporting any suspicious activities or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
- Returning lost items found in the work area to the designated department.
- Assisting colleagues in housekeeping tasks when necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
- Capability to maneuver equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Proficiency in cleaning techniques and the ability to work in various environments.
- Effective communication skills with both guests and team members.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and meet established cleaning standards.
- Basic understanding of the English language for effective communication and comprehension of instructions.
Any combination of education and experience that equips the candidate with the necessary knowledge and skills is acceptable. Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred.
