Role Summary:
The Clinical Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of technicians focused on the upkeep and repair of medical devices. This role includes staff development, workload management, customer service, and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee budget management to promote operational efficiency.
  • Supervise Biomedical staff.
  • Deliver technical training on equipment operation, maintenance, and quality assurance.
  • Assist in evaluating new medical devices and recommend compliance with standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve medical equipment issues through repairs and maintenance.
  • Engage in hazard identification and medical device reporting.
  • Instruct customer personnel on safe equipment usage as required.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and documentation.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology or a related technical field.
  • At least three years of experience in the Biomedical Equipment sector.
  • Preferred certification as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) from the International Certification Commission.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology in relation to clinical equipment.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems, including the ability to read circuit diagrams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards applicable to clinical equipment.
  • Experience with test equipment setup and application (e.g., electrical safety analyzers, digital multimeters).
  • Understanding of Quality Indicators.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to meet business needs.
