Drafting Technician

Planate Management Group is a leading provider of program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. We are seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our team in supporting our mission to provide exceptional services to the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide detailed and accurate technical drawings, plans, and blueprints using AutoCAD/Revit software.
- Collaborate with interior designers and medical equipment planners to gather information and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and other data to create comprehensive and accurate drafts.
- Organize and maintain a systematic filing system for all drafts, ensuring easy retrieval and reference.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of a digital database for drawings and related documents.
- Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings to meet established standards and guidelines.
- Conduct thorough checks to identify and rectify errors or discrepancies in drafts.
- Provide regular updates on the progress of drafting projects and address any concerns or modifications promptly.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in drafting techniques to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Minimum of three (3) years or more experience in drafting interior design or architecture for commercial and industrial buildings.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
- Ability to interpret Architectural/Engineering plans.
- Ability to review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
- Ability to obtain and assemble data to complete FF&E drawing documents and visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary.
- Ability to work with interior designers & medical equipment planners regarding drawing documentation standards.
- Ability to handle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision.
