Job Title: Drafting Technician

At Olsson, we're seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our Water/Wastewater team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in preparing engineering and design plans using advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with standard CAD operations, including plan production, plan sheet creation, and design principles.
  • Perform engineering support tasks, such as data gathering, file maintenance, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to find innovative solutions to engineering and design challenges.
  • May provide training or mentorship to less-experienced technicians and attend client meetings.
  • Work in various terrain and weather conditions, and on project sites in various stages of construction.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in drafting or related field preferred.
  • 2-7 years of experience in drafting and design, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Revit.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
