Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide outpatient services within our healthcare network.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a minimum of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution recognized by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
- Eligibility for a Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice is required within the initial employment period.
- Clinical Fellows (CFY) must be mentored by a state-licensed and ASHA-certified SLP and must be employed by Parkview Health.
- CFY candidates are expected to secure state licensure within 18 months of starting their fellowship.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is mandatory for those not in their CFY.
- CPR certification is required or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
Physical Requirements: Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting with weights of up to 100 pounds. The ability to push weights of up to 300 pounds may also be necessary.
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Flexibility to work at various locations as assigned is expected.
Licensure and Certification: Maintenance of all certifications and licenses according to their expiration dates is required. A valid driver's license is necessary if driving a company vehicle, and proof of insurance is required for personal vehicle use.
