About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Worker to join our team at St. Anthony Hospital. As a Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in providing direct observation and support to patients with mental health or behavioral safety needs.

You will utilize specialized training, de-escalation techniques, and other interventions to create a therapeutic and calming environment for patients. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively communicate patient mental and/or physical status changes to the primary Registered Nurse and/or Nurse Leader.

This is a full-time day role, working from 7:00am to 7:00pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and making a positive impact in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Perform direct observation of patients with mental health or behavioral safety needs
  • Utilize specialized training, de-escalation techniques, and other interventions to create a therapeutic environment
  • Communicate patient mental and/or physical status changes to the primary Registered Nurse and/or Nurse Leader
  • Complete data collection related to patient care and administer basic treatments and procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse
  • Assume personal accountability for organizational mission and core values
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related human services field preferred
  • One year experience in an acute care setting, mental health, human services, or related field preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of therapeutic interventions and basic computer skills

Pay Range

The pay range for this role is $18.00-$26.43 per hour.

Shift

This is a day shift role, working from 7:00am to 7:00pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
