Project Manager (Electric Utility)

City Light & Power, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee all aspects of our electric utility projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress to ensure successful project delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project team personnel and resources to achieve project goals.
  • Enhance and maintain relationships with clients, engineering personnel, and consultants to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Compile reports on financial performance and cost control to inform project decisions.
  • Oversee procurement processes and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Attend and lead project meetings to ensure progress and address any challenges or concerns.
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plans in coordination with the Project Superintendent.
  • Prepare trade contracts and bid packages with assistance from the Estimating Team.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure project compatibility with company goals and client needs.
  • Track and balance resources across multiple simultaneous projects to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Set-up QA/QC procedures and conduct quality inspections to ensure project quality.
  • Work closely with the Safety Director to communicate and enforce corporate Safety Program.
Requirements:
  • Five to seven years of project management experience in construction or utility experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with City Light & Power, Inc. may be substituted for project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to view time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services.
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to prepare construction schedules.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required with the ability to delegate work appropriately.
  • Ability to work well with various partners from start to finish.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
Benefits:
  • Full-time exempt position with office hours of Monday through Friday.
  • Ability and availability to travel, attend meetings and functions outside typical business hours may be required.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Military Base Access Security Clearance required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Compensation:

$75,000 - $95,000/year depending on experience plus eligibility to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
