Project Manager III

As a seasoned professional, you will oversee complex projects with minimal supervision, assembling project teams, assigning responsibilities, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion. You will partner with customers to plan, manage contracts, resolve issues, and mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to contract, budget, schedule, scope, and risk management.
• Manage support services and projects both domestically and internationally.
• Develop, evaluate, and update project plans, including project objectives, scope of work, deliverables, technologies, operational requirements, and assignment, task, or other specifications.
• Maintain familiarity with the contract scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate team activities.
• Coordinate with multiple internal and external groups, disseminating information on problems or potential delays and mitigation plans.
• Manage all phases of assigned programs from inception through completion, including customer interface, requirements, cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Manage project deliverables and progress through continuous communication with project members and customers.
• Participate in negotiations of requirements and requirements changes, remaining aware of potential problems and working to mitigate risks.
• Supervise/manage a project team of approximately 120, providing input towards hiring/firing/performance/staff decisions.
• Assist with identifying, reviewing, and selecting vendors or consultants, recommending and implementing improvements to the PMO.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and 10 years of program management experience required, with five years of technical experience. Master's degree preferred. Experience with implementing large-scale projects, preferably in DoD forensic program support. Advanced working knowledge of project management, creating and implementing project schedules, and managing project teams and budgets. Risk mitigation and issue resolution skills are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and advise large teams. Working knowledge of MS product suite: Excel, Word, SharePoint; Project Management software and DoD reporting systems. Complete a NACI investigation and pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
