Job Summary

Genesis Energy is seeking a skilled CDL A Truck Driver to transport crude oil from the field to pipeline injection points or refineries. As a key member of our midstream team, you will be responsible for safely operating an 18-wheel tractor/cargo tank and ensuring the efficient transportation of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and operate an 18-wheel tractor/cargo tank to transport crude oil
  • Open and close valves to allow product to flow in or out of the trailer
  • Test product using on-board oil centrifuge and spinning for 5 minutes
  • Record volume and lease site load/unload activity into hand-held computer
  • Prepare driver's Daily Report and other paperwork
  • Inspect truck, tires, and tank for safety concerns
  • Report volume of product hauled for accounting and revenue purposes
Requirements
  • Valid class A CDL with Tank and Hazardous Materials endorsements
  • Pass a pre-employment DOT medical exam
  • Pass DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol screenings
  • Driving record with no more than two moving violations in the previous three years
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Two plus years of verifiable tractor/semi-trailer driving experience preferred
