Senior Manager, UX Design

As a Senior Manager, UX Design at Walmart, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team of designers to articulate the strategy and design for our products and experiences at the front end of our stores. You will help shape the digital and physical experiences by starting with human-centered design. This work will allow you to innovate and directly impact the millions of customers and associates we serve every day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design at the highest level of craft for a broad population of Walmart customers.
  • Facilitate creative problem-solving across cross-functional partners to drive best-in-class thinking from all parts of the organization.
  • Proactively solicit, leverage, and share design research, competitive research, data, and analytics to create full-featured and strategic products.
  • Owning and driving a program of work and collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional partners.
  • Recruiting the best design talent and mentoring our growing team.
  • Thinking holistically so that we build true end-to-end experiences.
  • Multitasking across different projects and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Championing the Design Thinking philosophy throughout the business.
  • Communicating effectively with kindness and empathy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 5 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
  • 7 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. 2 years' supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Design certification (for example, IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate), Driving product development in a user experience area, Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area, Related industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare), UI/UX, Interactive and Visual Design, Electronics Art, Multimedia Design, or related area, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
