Key Responsibilities- Assist classroom teachers in creating a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere, promoting high expectations for student learning.
- Implement and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) for assigned students, utilizing evidence-based instructional strategies to support student progress.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, adapting instruction to meet their unique needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement behavioral intervention plans, promoting positive behavior and social skills.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to ensure seamless support and progress monitoring.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, providing data-driven insights to inform instruction.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in education or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with students with diverse needs, particularly those with autism spectrum disorders or developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Proficiency in using technology to support instruction and communication, including Microsoft Office Suite and educational software.
