Compensation: $21.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Day Shift (Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with occasional Friday shifts)

Role Summary:

The Metal Fabrication Specialist is responsible for constructing durable structures through the precise welding of metal components. This role emphasizes safety and quality in the production of high-grade assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely weld various metal types and thicknesses, primarily utilizing GMAW (MIG) techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and foster a culture of safety within the workplace.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and tools in line with 5S standards.
  • Prepare metal surfaces and components for welding, ensuring adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on welded joints to verify quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize measuring instruments to ensure precision in layout and assembly.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in welding, with the ability to pass a welding assessment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, including blueprints and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to safety.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, use hands, and lift materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional exposure to moderate to loud noise levels; hearing protection is mandatory in designated areas.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
