About the Role

C&W Services is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III to lead our team in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. As a key member of our Operations Maintenance team, you will design solutions for complex problems, manage projects, and train and mentor service technicians and contract technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and Audit Preventative Maintenance Procedures: Ensure that all conveyor systems in the building are properly maintained and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Install, Maintain, and Troubleshoot Relay Logic, Ladder Diagrams, and Control Components: Utilize your expertise in electrical and electronic principles to install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, and other equipment.
  • Create and Close Out Work Orders: Accurately document labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used for each work order.
  • Maintain a Positive Working Relationship: Foster a collaborative environment across all Operations facilities.
  • Develop Training Plans: Create comprehensive training plans for service technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop Work Plans for Emergency Repairs: Develop and implement work plans for emergency repairs of critical assets to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 5+ Years of Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls, electrical and electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and industrial electronics is required.
  • Preventative Maintenance Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience conducting preventative maintenance is required.
  • Blueprint and Schematic Reading: A minimum of 5 years of experience reading blueprints and schematics is required.
  • PLC Program Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs is required.
  • Work Order Management: A minimum of 3 years of experience with work order management is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates or Higher Degree: An associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field is preferred.
  • Apprenticeship or Equivalent Experience: A minimum of 4 years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field is preferred.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous leadership experience is preferred.
  • Vendor Management Experience: Previous vendor management experience is preferred.
  • Robotic Maintenance Experience: Experience with robotic maintenance is preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to Reach Overhead: Must have the ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, and frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment.
  • Ability to Perform Tasks Wearing PPE: Must be able to perform tasks wearing appropriate or required PPE, which may include but is not limited to hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes.
  • Regularly Required to Crouch or Bend: Regularly required to crouch or bend and reach to install/move equipment.
  • Movement Between Departments: Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work, averaging 6 to 12 miles per day.
  • Work in an Environment with Fluctuating Temperatures: Work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Regularly Required to Type on a Computer: Regularly required to type on a computer for 1-2 hours per day.
