Position Overview:
As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering quality care to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assessing and addressing the daily living and dining needs of assigned residents.
  • Conducting regular rounds to identify and report any significant issues.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean environment through necessary interventions.
  • Monitoring residents' skin condition and reporting findings to the licensed staff.
  • Assisting licensed staff with positioning residents for treatment.
  • Recording vital signs and assisting with weight assessments.
  • Maintaining accurate records in the electronic health system.
  • Providing support with laundry, housekeeping, and dining needs, including activities.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned by nursing leadership.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a valid nurse aide certification in Louisiana and demonstrate the following skills:
  • Strong organizational and supervisory abilities.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good emotional, mental, and physical health with sound judgment.
  • Willingness to provide emergency care when necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Understanding of personal care services and adherence to facility policies.
  • Adaptability to on-the-job training and compliance with aseptic techniques.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must not be excluded from Medicare and Medicaid programs.
  • Maintain eligibility for participation in Medicare and Medicaid throughout employment.
  • Participate in pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screenings.
