Job Title: Structural Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a subject matter expert, you will lead municipal and industrial structural engineering assignments, working closely with the civil engineering group on projects such as pump station sites, water and wastewater process facilities, site improvement retaining walls, and water reservoirs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead municipal and industrial structural engineering assignments

• Lead a group of 2-3 other structural engineers

• Identify, evaluate, and recommend alternative structural systems/solutions

• Lead structural assignments from system selection and concept development through design and construction

• Provide system designs using concrete, masonry, steel, and wood systems

• Provide structural plan reviews

• Determine feasibility of designing new structures or modifying existing structures

• Analyze existing structures and systems with respect to code compliance and seismic requirements

• Analyze project conditions and performance requirements

• Be involved in pursuit of structural engineering lead projects

• Analyze engineering proposals, requirements, and related technical data

• Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Seattle, Washington and some days remote. You will have the opportunity to work from our offices in Seattle, Tacoma, or Bellingham, or fully remote as long as located in the state of Washington.
