About Us: Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) is a leading dairy cooperative with seven manufacturing plants in the Midwest. We produce high-quality cheese, butter, and other dairy products for foodservice, retail, and food ingredient customers.

Job Description: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency and safety of our plant equipment, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality production. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and making necessary repairs to ensure the optimal performance of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as changing filters, checking fluid levels, and tightening loose parts.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, using diagnostic techniques and tools to identify and repair problems.
  • Make necessary repairs to equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
