We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Aide to join our team at Adams 12 Five Star Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting site directors and leaders in leading and supervising children in various BASE Programs during school-aged care, education, and recreational activities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist site directors and leaders in caring for, supervising, guiding, and assisting students during school-aged care, crafts, art projects, games, and other educational activities.
- Monitor student behavior during activities, effectively handle student discipline situations, and encourage and support positive behavior.
- Assist site directors and leaders in observing the children and monitoring the security of the building at all times to ensure the children's health and safety.
- Assist with creating interesting activities that ensure participation of students.
- Communicate with parents, staff, and teachers regarding child behavior or program information.
- Record attendance and contact parents regarding absent students.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Criminal background check and Child Abuse and Neglect Record Check required for hire.
- Must complete required school age care trainings and certifications, which include: CPR and First Aid, Standard Precautions, Pre-Service and Orientation trainings within 30 days of hire as required by CDHS.
- May be required to complete current state required annual continuing education (presently 15 hours minimum) related to one or more of the following: child growth and development, health and safe environment, developmentally appropriate practices, guidance, family relationships, cultural and individual diversity, and professionalism.
