We are seeking an experienced IT Disaster Recovery Manager to join our team in Mclean, Virginia. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to ensure the resilience and continuity of our IT services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure rapid recovery in the event of a disaster.
  • Oversee the management and operation of disaster recovery sites, including off-site storage, backup solutions, and failover systems.
  • Coordinate and lead regular disaster recovery and business continuity drills and tests to validate the effectiveness of recovery plans.
  • Manage the disaster recovery and business continuity lifecycle, including planning, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for our federal IT enterprise, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and federal regulations.
  • Support and participate in disaster recovery exercises for both on-premises and cloud environments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Continuity Management, or a related field.
  • 8 years' experience managing recovery and continuity services for a large federal government agency with multiple enterprise class data centers and multiple national offices and field sites.
  • Familiar with Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) best practices and NIST Contingency Planning.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with cloud-based disaster recovery solutions and virtualization technologies.
Relevant Certifications:
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent.
