Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU Recovery Room Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a PACU Recovery Room Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to patients recovering from anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate patient physical, psychosocial, environmental, spiritual, social, and educational needs, and develop and implement individualized plans of care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve desired patient care outcomes and provide education to patients and families.
  • Guide and direct patient care activities, utilizing clinical and critical thinking skills, and evidence-based practice.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in departmental and organizational meetings, in-services, and educational opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in patient care.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa.
  • Experience in a PACU or recovery room setting, with a strong understanding of anesthesia care and recovery principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple patients, and maintain a calm and composed demeanor in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
