Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Material Management Director to join our team at Fluor. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and cost-effective identification, sourcing, purchasing, delivery, warehousing, installation, and commissioning of materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute an integrated Material Management Plan in coordination with Construction and Material Control.
  • Oversee the development of detailed logistics plans for cost-effective transportation services.
  • Negotiate Terms and Conditions based on Prime Contract flow downs.
  • Maintain knowledge of safety policies and procedures, ensure safe work practices, and adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
  • Manage personnel, provide an environment for staff development and professional advancement, including training opportunities and performance feedback.
  • Analyze situations, identify and forecast problems, evaluate options, and implement appropriate actions.
Requirements
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twenty (20) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty-four (24) years if non-degreed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Twenty (20) years of experience in the area of material management.
  • Applicable professional certification(s) or license(s).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Megaproject experience.
  • Ability to lead a globally dispersed team.
