We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. As a key member of our IT organization, you will play a pivotal role in delivering quality frameworks that support mission-critical software products and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement software to test products and applications
  • Define automation strategies and design tools for unit, functional, and performance testing
  • Participate in design and code inspections
  • Propose improvements to existing processes and build automated tools, libraries, and utilities
  • Work with various technologies from front-end UI to back-end distributed web services
  • Own the design and implementation of tests for end-to-end quality of major deliverables
  • Integrate tests and infrastructure automation into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in functional testing and test automation
  • Experience writing, maintaining automated UI and APIs tests using various open-source testing libraries
  • Experience with API and Microservices testing and automation
  • Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD), and testing frameworks like Cucumber
  • Experience with querying languages like SQL, Oracle, MySQL, and NoSQL databases
  • Experience deploying applications in AWS or OpenShift (Kubernetes)
  • Experience automating backend REST services and working in distributed agile teams
  • Knowledge of continuous integration tools like Jenkins or Circle CI
  • Able to independently create and maintain automation test jobs
  • Experience working with source code management tools like GitLab, GitHub, or AWS Code Commit
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in functional testing and test automation
  • Knowledge and experience with airline processes and tools
  • Experience with test management and agile management tools
  • Experience with infrastructure automation using Docker and tools like Chef, Puppet, or Terraform
  • Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch
  • Experience working with various AWS cloud services
