Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team at ACL Digital. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop UI test automation scripts using Cypress-Mocha/BDD, JavaScript/Typescript, and Playwright
  • Validate front-end applications and APIs
  • Develop API automation scripts using Cypress, Rest-Assured, and Postman
  • Test responsive applications on various platforms, including Android, iOS, MacOS, Windows, and browsers
  • Work in an AWS environment and utilize services like DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, S3, EC2, and Lambda

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from UI and API layers
  • Hands-on experience with OOPs languages like Java, C#, and scripting languages like Python, Perl, Shell, and Bash
  • Knowledge and experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and a testing framework like Cucumber or JBehave
  • Experience with API and Microservices testing and automation
  • Hands-on experience with one or more querying languages, such as SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB
  • Experience deploying applications in AWS or OpenShift (Kubernetes)
  • Hands-on experience in automating backend REST services using tools like Postman, Rest-Assured, Karate, or Cypress
  • Hands-on experience in building test automation frameworks from scratch using modular frameworks and design patterns like Page Object Model (POM)
  • Experience working in distributed agile teams using agile frameworks like Scrum, SAFe, or XP
  • Hands-on experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins or Circle CI
  • Able to independently create and maintain automation test jobs using tools like Jenkins
  • Hands-on experience working with source code management tools like GitLab, GitHub, or AWS CodeCommit
  • Hands-on experience creating test reports from automation test runs using tools like Cucumber Report or Extent Report
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and evolving technologies
