Key Responsibilities:- Engage in harvest processes including preparation, seed sampling, and unloading trucks.
- Execute various tasks related to plant, field, and warehouse operations that change with the seasons.
- Monitor automated machinery for activities such as harvesting, conditioning, treating, and packaging.
- Participate in production tasks including seed conditioning, treating, and packaging.
- Conduct product return and sorting operations.
- Perform field tasks such as scouting and inspections while managing logistics.
- Utilize technology and computerized systems for work tasks (computers and tablets).
- Carry out warehouse duties including forklift operation, sample collection, and pooling.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or commitment to obtain a GED within one year of employment.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to perform tasks involving climbing, standing, and sitting for extended periods, working in various weather conditions, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient with technology and comfortable using Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willing to learn company-specific software.
- Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Valid US Driver's License.
- Team-oriented with proactive communication skills and adaptability to change.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to health and safety standards, ensuring adherence to protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime, including nights and weekends during peak production periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two-Year Technical or Associate's Degree.
- One year of experience in operations, manufacturing, agriculture, or a related field.
- Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing principles such as 5S and Continuous Improvement.
- General knowledge of agricultural equipment and field operations.
Work Authorization:
- This position does not offer relocation benefits.
- Visa sponsorship is not available.
