We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team at Alief ISD. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech therapy services to students with communication disorders, working closely with our Speech-Language Pathologists to develop and implement Individual Education Plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Therapy
    • Plan and implement speech therapy sessions for students with communication disorders
    • Collect and analyze data on student progress and report findings to Speech-Language Pathologists
    • Develop and implement clinical management strategies and procedures
  • Consultation
    • Consult with colleagues, students, and parents to develop and implement therapy goals
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom activities to improve communication skills
    • Provide professional development to school personnel on effective communication strategies
  • Student Management
    • Create a supportive learning environment for students
    • Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere
  • Program Management
    • Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of speech-language pathology services
    • Participate in the selection of equipment and instructional materials
    • Compile and maintain records and reports as required by local, state, and federal guidelines
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders/Speech Pathology from an accredited university
  • Valid Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
  • Experience in public schools preferred
Working Conditions

The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant will work in a fast-paced educational environment, interacting with students, teachers, and parents. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $61,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Alief ISD offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement plans and paid time off.
