About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease or prevent deformity in pediatric patients. This role involves working closely with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal physical function and enhance the quality of life for children facing various diagnoses and health challenges.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate with healthcare professionals working with their clients and refer clients to specialists when appropriate.
- Perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of practice and state standards.
- Develop a treatment plan for each client based on initial and ongoing evaluations including short and long-term goals, collaborating with other team members, and required patient and caregiver involvement.
- Document client progress according to approved medical documentation and agency documentation procedures.
- Evaluate mobility, strength, and current level of client function while setting goals to improve in these areas that are scaled to the client's abilities and are realistically attainable.
- Report client progress to caregivers, agency staff, and healthcare professionals involved in ongoing treatment/care of clients.

Requirements:

- Proven record of matching patient needs to treatment plans and proven record of implementing these plans safely and effectively.
- Strong experience administering a wide range of physical therapy techniques.
- Knowledge of responsible use of facility equipment and best practices for equipment.
- Experience with recommending assistive equipment to clients or home health follow-up programs.
- Experience with a wide range of injuries.
- A strong sense of empathy, a compassionate outlook on PT, and the ability to motivate patients to push their limits in a responsible, safe way are essential.

Education and Experience:

- Spanish Fluency is a PLUS.
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in pediatric therapy practice.
- Current Physical Therapy license for the state of operation.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year.
