Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at the U.S. Marine Corps. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting and repairing heavy mobile equipment, including trucks, cranes, and forklifts. You will work under close supervision to ensure that repairs are completed to the highest standards and that equipment is returned to service as quickly as possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and evaluate components and parts using exacting specifications
  • Repair and overhaul heavy mobile equipment, including engines, transmissions, and other major systems
  • Install and fit parts, such as pistons, valves, and bearings, to appropriate tolerances
  • Work on a variety of heavy mobile equipment, including trucks, cranes, and forklifts
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure that repairs are completed efficiently and effectively
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
