Microsoft Corporation is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Service Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and test operating systems-level software compilers.
  • Plan, architect, deploy, or support complex client/server or base software systems.
  • Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements.
  • Establish standards for a design, architecture, and recovery process that results in comprehensive, scalable recovery plans across multiple groups and services.
  • Develop or create an implementation, validation, and rollback plan.
  • Troubleshoot technical barriers and resolve escalations by using standard and custom problem management tools and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, computer-based services offered to external customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Electrical Engineering, or related.
  • 36 months of experience in providing technical software support.
  • Education or experience in BACnet, Building Automation Systems (BAS), Electrical Systems, and Mechanical Systems.
  • 36 months of experience in each of the following: SCADA/DCS Systems, Modbus, and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).

Benefits:

  • The offered base pay range for this specific position in Redmond, WA, is $155,000 to $185,000 per year.
  • Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
  • Individual base pay depends on various factors, including complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
  • Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock.
  • U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others.
  • U.S.-based employees also receive up to 10 scheduled paid holidays and up to 80 hours Holistic Health Time Off.
