Position Summary: Are you ready to advance your career with Perdue Farms, Inc.? The Loin Room Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in leading and guiding the loin room team to ensure the efficient and timely production of items.
This role carries the authority to make daily operational decisions based on established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily management of loin room associates to meet production and quality standards safely.
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships within the team.
- Establish, measure, and be accountable for operating and capital budgets to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
- Ensure that all operational plans are met, focusing on yield, efficiency, and quality metrics.
- Implement processes to minimize turnover and enhance safety outcomes as indicated by the Safety Scorecard.
- Provide ongoing training to enhance supervisory skills and improve the competencies of hourly production associates.
- Continuously seek innovative ideas and methods to boost operational performance and product quality.
- Support the company's annual goals related to People, Products, and Profitability through effective planning and communication.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience.
- Prior supervisory experience is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and achieve results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Adept at developing and implementing protocols and processes.
- Capable of analyzing and resolving challenges as they arise.
Physical Requirements:
- May require moving light equipment or supplies.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels in a plant environment.
- Must wear protective equipment as required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and reaching.
