Position Overview
We are seeking a talented SDET Engineer to significantly contribute to our Quality Engineering and automation initiatives. This role is primarily focused on enhancing test automation and processes to guarantee the quality of applications developed internally at Broadridge. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in transitioning from manual testing to automated testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and define the test strategy, test suites, and test cases while designing tools for QA testing with an emphasis on automation.
- Identify and implement enhancements to existing processes and automated tools aimed at expanding testing scope and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineers and Product teams to comprehend the intricate ecosystems of Broadridge Investor Communications Solutions platforms.
- Create and sustain both manual and automated scripts, promoting reusability and maintainability.
- Execute automated scripts and conduct failure analysis to identify root causes of issues.
- Assist in the triage, diagnosis, and resolution of issues encountered across the platform.
- Develop and execute manual test cases while driving the conversion of manual tests to automated formats whenever feasible.
- Adhere to the standards and procedures of the ICS Quality organization, including best coding practices.
- Contribute to comprehensive user acceptance testing.
- Support QA tools and activities as required.
- Collaborate with both onshore and offshore teams to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software developer, QA Engineer, or SDET.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Selenium and Java.
- 4+ years of experience in crafting, implementing, and executing test cases.
- 4+ years of familiarity with testing processes, methodologies, tools, and technologies.
- 4+ years of experience in functional and UI testing, along with quality reporting.
- A strong passion for driving best practices in the testing domain.
- Understanding of software engineering practices and agile methodologies.
- Experience in building or enhancing test automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in CI/CD integration and pipeline development using tools like Jenkins or Spinnaker.
- Experience with BDD/TDD using Gherkin and tools like Cucumber or JBehave.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, or Xray.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment and deliver test automation within sprints.
- Experience in developing utilities using Java, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Capability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues within the quality assurance environment while effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A strong commitment to enhancing product quality.
- Willingness to embrace challenges while being part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in financial or brokerage services.
- Experience with Linux/Unix platforms is a plus.
- ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
- Project management experience in brokerage or IT environments.
- Interaction with external customers.
- Experience with Splunk.
- ADA (Accessibility) Testing experience.
- Familiarity with PowerBI and/or Tableau.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between $95,000 and $100,000. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary, including relevant experience, skills, and education. This position is also bonus eligible.
