Job Description:

As a Senior Systems Engineer at L3Harris Technologies, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies that deliver mission-critical solutions for our customers. In this role, you will perform technical planning, concept of operations definition, requirements elicitation and derivation, and analyses throughout the system development lifecycle. You will also perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition in a model-based system engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decompose and manage system requirements to ensure alignment with customer needs.
  • Develop electronic hardware and software architectures and designs based on system level requirements.
  • Develop internal requirements, CONOPs, and interface control documents from customer/product requirements.
  • Support the full system development lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, production, test, installation, operations, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Interact with senior program managers and customers to define approaches and strategies.
  • Execute trade studies to identify solutions that meet requirements.
  • Provide guidance to development teams at internal and external gate reviews, such as technical baseline reviews and design reviews.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Ensure the logical and systemic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that meet technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly Security Clearance.
  • Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration, and/or project management, and/or model-based systems engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Systems integration of subsystems and multi-segment systems.
  • Experience working in a Digital Engineering/MBSE environment.
  • Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation).
