Job Summary
Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit organization providing services to individuals with disabilities in multiple states. We are seeking an experienced Residential Program Manager in a leadership role to oversee the daily operations and challenges of our residential programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Train Teams: Supervise and train staff to support programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Staff Management: Manage staff schedules, ensure shifts are adequately staffed, and provide training on daily routines, including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Performance Management: Develop and implement strategies to manage team performance through effective communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognition.
- Activity Programs: Develop and implement activity programs, including the Meaningful Day curriculum, to promote engagement and fulfillment for individuals with disabilities.
- Communication: Communicate with families and guardians of individuals we support as needed, ensuring their concerns and needs are addressed.
- Individual Support Plans: Develop and update Individual Support Plans (ISP)/Person-Centered Plans (PCP) with an interdisciplinary team to include any concerns, observations, and behavioral developments.
- Medication Management: Ensure individuals are supported per their ISP/PCP, including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management.
- Documentation: Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely.
- Financial Management: Assist with monitoring the finances of individuals, ensuring purchases are approved and accounted for with documentation.
- Health and Medical Needs: Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns.
- Relationship Management: Manage relationships with families and guardians of the individuals in our care.
- Work Environment: Ensure work locations and vehicles are clean, well maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies, including groceries, medications, and cleaning supplies.
- Additional Responsibilities: May be required to fill shifts when staffing issues arise, and additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Training: Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Experience: Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of state regulatory agency operations and standards relevant to supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Leadership: Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Problem-Solving: Experience with problem-solving against multiple priorities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills.
