Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is seeking a skilled Multimodality Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures with two or more specialty modalities of moderate to high complexity.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Perform diagnostic radiology procedures to include but not limited to X-ray, MRI, CT, Mammography, Ultrasound, IR exams.
- Patient Care: Provide direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic procedures, including assisting with sterile technique. Modify technical factors to achieve desired imaging results and recognize complications and limitations associated with certain procedures.
- Quality and Safety: Follow safety standards and conduct all imaging procedures accordingly. Use ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) to protect patients, staff and general public, and follows radiation safety standards. Properly utilizes patient radiation protection and immobilization during diagnostic procedures.
- Documentation and Communication: Provides accurate and complete documentation of patient procedures. Enters charges at the time service is delivered. Utilizes resources with cost effectiveness and value creation in mind.
- Education: Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section.
- Experience: Two years' combined experience in more than one specialty modality. Two years experience specifically performing x-ray and CT needed for this position.
- Certifications and Licenses: CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure -- Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT-GC) thru the Texas Medical Board OR CMRT-Temp - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - Temporary State Licensure AND ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) AND ARRT-CT - Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography (ARRT) OR ARRT-MR - Radiologic Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT) OR ARRT-M - Radiologic Technologist - Mammography (ARRT) OR ARRT-VI - Radiologic Technologist - Vascular Interventional Radiography (ARRT) OR RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) -- in Ultrasound AND BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA)
