Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Field Technician to join our team at Bayside Solutions, Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing site observations, collecting samples, and conducting tests to ensure compliance with construction specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site observations of earthwork, utility backfill, drainage improvements, excavations, and foundation construction.
  • Collect and analyze samples to monitor compliance with construction specifications.
  • Perform soil and asphalt testing to ensure quality control.
  • Travel to job sites using company vehicles and interact with Project Engineers and Job Captains.
  • Complete technical reports and coordinate with dispatch.
  • Coordinate with construction workers onsite.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with fieldwork in an academic setting is highly preferred.
  • Nuclear Gauge Density Certification is mandatory.
  • Steel-toe boots and a valid driver's license are required.
  • Able to walk outdoors all day and lift 50 lbs for extended periods.
  • Able to work overtime and provide excellent customer service.

Geotechnical, fieldwork, earthwork, nuclear densitometry, and strong communication skills.
