The successful candidate will be accountable for the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of machinery components both in the workshop and on-site, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role requires the ability to work autonomously in diverse environments. The ideal individual should possess strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, reliability, and adaptability to various challenges including those posed by clients, suppliers, colleagues, and environmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commit to safety practices and environmental protection.
  • Maintain a personal toolkit for all repair tasks.
  • Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, modifications, and repairs on various drilling and construction equipment.
  • Interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, and schematics accurately.
  • Plan and sequence assigned tasks effectively.
  • Complete all assigned activities diligently.
  • Document daily activities and actions taken appropriately.
  • Ensure equipment is cosmetically presentable upon job completion.
  • Return unused parts and materials according to established guidelines.
  • Maintain legible records in compliance with company standards.
  • Care for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles responsibly.
  • Communicate professionally with team members and clients.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in manuals.
  • Foster a positive work environment and maintain high morale among employees.
  • Build and sustain excellent relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be eligible for a U.S. Passport.
  • Be prepared for immediate response to IDE and customer requirements.
  • This role may require up to 80% travel.

  • Conduct all tasks in accordance with IDE safety standards.
  • Be accountable to supervisors, coworkers, and clients.
  • Perform risk assessments for all work activities.
  • Promote a culture of safety in both shop and field settings.
  • Ensure work areas are safe and tools are in proper working condition.
  • Participate in pre-job safety planning and Toolbox Talks.

Qualifications:

  • A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repair is required.
