Key Responsibilities- Crop Inspection and Management: Conduct thorough inspections of all crops to identify potential issues and make recommendations for pesticide use.
- Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of RUP, WPS, and SDS compliance, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.
- Research and Development: Research and evaluate new pesticides and products to optimize crop yields and minimize environmental impact.
- Soil Sampling and Fertilizer Recommendations: Supervise soil sampling and provide fertilizer recommendations to ensure optimal crop growth.
- Field Research and Development: Supervise field research on new products and practices to improve crop yields and reduce environmental impact.
- Production Records and Reporting: Maintain thorough production records and provide regular reports to Farm Management.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, including FDA, USDA, OSHA, and TOSHA regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulations relating to food safety and personnel safety.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience: Previous experience in crop production preferred.
- Certifications: Must have or obtain Certified Crop Advisor License within 2 years.
- Special Skills: Ability to work long hours in a physically demanding environment, willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
