As a Senior Software Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will harness your enthusiasm to learn new technologies and pinpoint necessary system enhancements. You will assist clients in navigating their most pressing challenges by employing cutting-edge architectural methodologies, tools, and technologies. Your contributions will ensure that the solutions crafted by the team take into account the overall architecture and operational context, as well as future scalability and enhancements.

Collaboration is key; you will work alongside a dedicated team to create a communication system that integrates both analog and digital components, enabling seamless user interactions. Your responsibilities will include developing new software encompassing business logic, data management, and integration with existing hardware and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications. You will also support the development of an enterprise application, utilizing agile practices, established architectural frameworks, design patterns, and modern integration techniques. Your role will involve various aspects of agile software development, including crafting user stories, planning releases and iterations, agile modeling, coding, unit and integration testing, conducting code reviews, and maintaining software documentation. You will play a vital role in system implementation across multiple layers, including services, data access, and integration points such as APIs, all while thriving in a fast-paced environment with talented colleagues to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in software development utilizing C#
  • 3+ years of experience in creating enterprise applications
  • 3+ years of experience in developing data access solutions
  • 2+ years of experience in functional programming
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Understanding of industry standards for developing and securing web communication applications
  • Capability to independently design and develop code while collaborating effectively within a small to mid-sized team
  • Possession of a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in building applications with Angular and TypeScript
  • Knowledge of integration and data access design patterns
  • Familiarity with data broker technologies such as RabbitMQ
  • Experience deploying applications using Docker containers
  • Experience managing Docker containers within Kubernetes environments
  • Proficiency in using Git and Jenkins

Clearance Requirement:
