Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

About the Role:
James Hardie Building Products Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of the Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain production and quality by ensuring efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; safely using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories.

Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • At least 5 years of heavy industrial mechanical and millwright experience in a continuous operating (24/7) manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and continual diligence about follow-up.
  • Knowledgeable of root cause and fault-free analysis techniques.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
