PACU Nursing Assistant II

South Shore Health is seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant II to join our Recovery Room team. As a Nursing Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and ensuring the safe transport of patients throughout the nursing areas.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent, with a strong understanding of basic medical terminology and computer skills. You will be responsible for performing basic care tasks as delegated by the RN, documenting services accurately, and providing patient observation services as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct patient care under the supervision of licensed personnel
- Observing, obtaining, and reporting patient data/status to assigned RN
- Responding to changes in patient acuity and emergent situations as directed by nursing staff
- Maintaining current knowledge and certification, including BLS
- Participating in continued learning and utilizing new technology and procedures

Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Previous Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support Certification
