Job SummaryAs an Industrial Maintenance Technician - Electrical Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining assigned equipment with a focus on production and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, reporting to the Shift Supervisor and taking appropriate action.
- Analyze mechanical and operational problems, make necessary corrections, and run adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.
- Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
- Repair and maintain the operating conditions of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair machine electrical and control malfunctions, such as 3-phase motor replacements, photo-eye adjustments, servos, machine timing, and circuit replacements.
- Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.
- Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
- Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary.
- Perform other tasks and special assignments as requested by management.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Strong electrical experience is desired.
- Ability to repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment using basic mechanic hand tools and power tools.
- Frequent movement, lifting, and carrying of supplies/equipment up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
