Aveanna Private Duty Nurse - RN Job Description

Aveanna's Private Duty nurses play a vital role in providing one-on-one care to our patients, helping them transition home from the hospital and ensuring they receive the continuous care they need to thrive in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementing physicians' prescribed plans of care
  • Conducting patient assessments and coordinating care
  • Administering prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
  • Documenting care provided in our system of record
  • Teaching and training family members on health promotion and disease management
  • Communicating with physicians, clients, family members, and staff on client problems, concerns, and changes in client condition

Requirements:
  • An active, unencumbered license (RN/LPN/LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practice
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS
  • TB skin test (current within the last 12 months)
  • Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Reliable transportation
