Aveanna's Private Duty nurses play a vital role in providing one-on-one care to patients in their homes. As a skilled nursing professional, you will assist patients with transitioning home from the hospital and provide the continuous care needed to remain at home with their loved ones.
Responsibilities- Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care
- Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
- Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
- Document care provided in a compliant and timely manner
- Provide health promotion, teaching, and training to family members
- Accept and write verbal orders from physicians as required
- Follow up with physicians, clients, family members, staff, and Case Managers on client problems, concerns, and/or changes in client condition
- Active, unencumbered license (RN/LPN/LVN) in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS
- TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
- Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation
