We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Elementary Education Specialist to join our team at Mid-Michigan Area Public Schools Consortium. As a key member of our instructional staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and resources to students in a resource room setting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students with diverse learning abilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate resource room services into the classroom curriculum.
- Provide academic and behavioral support to students in a small group setting, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, preferably in a resource room setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a focus on student outcomes.
