Position Overview:

The University of Miami Health System and Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine is actively seeking a fellowship-trained professional for a full-time faculty role in the Division of Nuclear Medicine within the Department of Diagnostic Radiology. This position is available at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, specifically within the clinical educator track.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in active clinical practice across both outpatient and inpatient environments.
  • Contribute to the education and advancement of medical students, residents, and fellows in Nuclear Medicine diagnostic radiology.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various Nuclear Medicine studies, including but not limited to bone scans, thyroid imaging, and nuclear cardiology.
  • Utilize advanced hybrid imaging technologies such as SPECT/CT and PET/CT.
  • Participate in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics, particularly for conditions like thyroid cancer and lymphoma.
  • Oversee technical personnel and participate in the on-call schedule.
  • Ensure quality assurance in Nuclear Medicine practices.
  • Provide consultations in Nuclear Medicine as needed.
  • Participate in educational activities for medical students and residents.
  • Engage in clinical research and contribute to departmental committees.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree with completion of a Diagnostic Radiology Residency and Nuclear Medicine Fellowship.
  • Certification from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and Nuclear Medicine Board (ABNM) is required.
  • A valid Florida Medical License or eligibility for licensure.

Experience:

Applicants should have completed at least one year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine, with a preference for candidates who have prior experience in an academic faculty setting.
