Position Overview:

The University of Miami Health System is actively seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time faculty role in the Division of Nuclear Medicine within the Department of Diagnostic Radiology. This position is available at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level on the clinical educator track.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in active clinical practice across both outpatient and inpatient environments.
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in general Nuclear Medicine procedures, including but not limited to bone scans, thyroid imaging, and nuclear cardiology.
  • Utilize advanced imaging technologies such as hybrid SPECT/CT and PET/CT.
  • Participate in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics, focusing on treatments for various cancers.
  • Oversee the work of technical staff and participate in on-call duties.
  • Ensure quality assurance in Nuclear Medicine practices.
  • Provide consultations in Nuclear Medicine as needed.
  • Participate in educational activities for medical students and residents, including lectures and seminars.
  • Engage in clinical research and contribute to departmental committees.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree with completed residency in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Board certification or eligibility in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
  • Possession of or eligibility for a Florida Medical License.
  • Prior experience in a university faculty setting is preferred.
