Test Engineering Co-op for New Product Development

MKS Instruments is seeking a talented Test Engineering Co-op to support the development and implementation of test processes for new product development. As a key member of the Tech Ops team, you will work closely with cross-functional groups to optimize designs for testability, reduce costs, improve quality, and increase reliability of new products. Your role will be vital in providing support for optimizing designs for testability of RF components, PCBA's, Sub-Assemblies and Final Assemblies, early in the new product development process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transition products from Design to Manufacturing, representing the Technical Operations team in product development projects and communicating requirements and proposing solutions.
  • Partner with design engineering and facilitate supplier value engineering in product development with strong influence in DFX (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Service).
  • Assist in establishing test methods, processes, and tools to streamline new and existing products.
  • Knowledge of RF and DC circuitry testing techniques.
  • Create, update, and maintain test process instructions.
  • Assist in transferring products and training of new sites.
  • Design and procure test fixtures.
  • Support daily production demand.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in (IE/ME/EE) or relevant majors.
  • Statistical analysis, Gauge R & R, and Correlation analysis experience is a plus.
  • MATLAB, LTspice, QSpice, and Python knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to learn quickly problem-solving techniques relating to manufacturing process.
  • Collaboration skills with a passion for manufacturing and operations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
