Dignity Health Medical Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team in Stockton, California. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with our Endocrinologist, Gastroenterology, and Primary Care providers to provide nutrition education and counseling to patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, chronic kidney disease, congestive heart failure, obesity, and stomach conditions.
Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling to patients and develop group classes to help patients manage their nutrition better.
- Teach health education classes and participate in the planning and implementation of Education Services programs.
- Assess patients for nutrition counseling and select appropriate counseling techniques and processes.
- Plan and develop curriculum for health education programs and participate in continued education related to nutrition education.
- Establish an environment conducive to behavior change and transfer of education.
- Bachelor's Degree in dietetics or nutrition from an accredited college or university.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.
- Effective listening and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups.
- Ability to perform skin fold measurement and blood glucose monitoring.
- Knowledge of age and gender-specific characteristics.
- Experience with g-tube management.
- Previous experience with medical information systems and work processing.
