Job Overview

The primary role of a Warehouse Material Specialist involves executing various tasks, including but not limited to assembling and preparing customer orders, utilizing a forklift for loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring that products are maintained in a tidy and organized environment.

Compensation: $18 per hour based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM with a rotating Saturday schedule; Saturday hours are from 8 AM to 12 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate within the warehouse and outdoors as required
  • Load trucks for outgoing deliveries
  • Unload incoming shipments
  • Prepare and package orders for shipment
  • Complete all work orders accurately and promptly
  • Rotate inventory and safely handle products using a forklift when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure operational success and deliver excellent customer service
  • Perform additional duties as needed based on business requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse or yard role; forklift experience is advantageous
  • Familiarity with building materials is a plus
  • Willingness to work overtime as required
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and performing basic mathematical functions
